Im Gegensatz zu den anderen V\u00f6geln, bei denen mehrere Fangversuche n\u00f6tig waren, wurde Cyril direkt beim ersten Fangversuch in der K\u00e4figfalle entdeckt. Unsere Kolleginnen der Uni Gie\u00dfen, die die V\u00f6gel besendert haben, berichten, dass er zwar zwei seiner Schwanzfedern im K\u00e4fig verloren hat. Doch nachdem er freigelassen wurde, ist er trotzdem geradlinig abgeflogen und scheint also wohlauf zu sein. Inzwischen sind Cyrils Steuerfedern bestimmt nachgewachsen.<\/p>\n<p>Diese Taube haben wir nach Dr. Cyril Eraud benannt. Cyril arbeitet in einer Forschungsgruppe zu Zugv\u00f6geln der franz\u00f6sischen Wildtier- und Jagdbeh\u00f6rde in Chiz\u00e9. Er hat sich bei seiner Arbeit vor allem mit den Zugwegen der Turteltauben und ihren Bedingungen im Winter besch\u00e4ftigt. Von Cyrils Erfahrungen beim Fang und der Besenderung hat das Forschungsteam von Prof. Dr. Quillfeldt sehr profitiert, auch bei der diesj\u00e4hrigen Besenderungsaktion.
