Mehrere Paare haben ihre Nester in unmittelbarer N\u00e4he zur H\u00fctte angelegt. Vom Gel\u00e4nder der H\u00fctte behalten sie die Umgebung im Blick, um Feinde rechtzeitig zu entdecken. Dass ich nur wenige Meter entfernt mein Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck zu mir nehme und Schwierigkeiten habe, den Rotschenkel auf die geringe Entfernung mit dem Teleobjektiv zu fokussieren, scheint ihn nicht zu st\u00f6ren. Dennoch hat er auch ein Auge auf mich. Es liegt etwa 15 cm neben dem Trampelpfad \u00fcber die D\u00fcne. Dass ich dort hin und wieder langgehen muss, nehmen die Sandregenpfeifer in Kauf. \u00dcblicherweise verl\u00e4sst der br\u00fctende Vogel dann kurz das Nest und kehrt unmittelbar zur\u00fcck, wenn ich mich wieder etwas entfernt habe. Manchmal bleibt er aber auch einfach sitzen! Immerhin halten sich potentielle Feinde wie M\u00f6wen oder die gelegentlich vorbeischauenden Rabenkr\u00e4hen aus meiner N\u00e4he lieber fern und werden das gut getarnte Nest sicher nicht so schnell entdecken.
