Heute morgen, als ich erneut\u00a0 am Strand entlang ging, bemerkte ich, dass die Zahl der Paraffin-Br\u00f6ckchen weiter zugenommen hat. Die schwimmenden Br\u00f6ckchen wurden mit der Flut an den Strand gesp\u00fclt und k\u00f6nnen f\u00fcr die V\u00f6gel am Strand gef\u00e4hlich werden, wenn diese das Paraffin mit Nahrung verwechseln und in sich aufnehmen.<br \/>\nZwischen 20 und 40 daumennagelgro\u00dfe Teilchen auf einem Quadratmeter lassen sich leicht finden. Zudem finden sich zwischen 3 und 5 gr\u00f6\u00dfere Brocken auf 100m Strand.\u00a0 Dieses Ph\u00e4nomen ist am gesamten Strand, besonders jedoch am S\u00fcdwest- bis Nordweststrand (der zentrale Strandbereich der Insel) zu beobachten. Ich meldete diesen Vorgang der Nationalparkverwaltung in T\u00f6nning, die sofort Kollegen und MitarbeiterInnen am Festland \u00fcber diese Funde informierte. Ich bin gespannt, ob und wo sich das Paraffin noch so finden l\u00e4sst.<\/p>\n<p>Paraffine sind synthetische Wachse auf Erd\u00f6lbasis und werden vielf\u00e4ltig eingesetzt. Sie k\u00f6nnen Gifte enthalten und stellen eine Gefahr f\u00fcr die Tierwelt in und am Wasser dar.
