Der Ort diente lange den ausschlie\u00dflich landwirtschaftlich orientierten und sich selbstversorgenden Weilern (hameaux) und Einzelgeh\u00f6ften in der Umgebung als Handwerks-, Handels- und Dienstleistungszentrum. Seit der Mitte des 20.
